    Authentic Experience With Great Food!
My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon in Maui. It was our second time there. While researching some fun things to do, we discovered the Authentic Taste of Maui. Let me just say that it was the best experience we had there. We went to places we would never find on our own, tasted food we didn’t even know existed, our guide was highly knowledgeable and fun and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to eat and experience something extraordinary!

    A true Maui experience!
Delicious! A must while visiting Maui! This was the highlight of my trip!! We went to 7 different places with a variety of small portions. I really enjoyed the variety of foods and although a couple weren’t my thing, the majority was delicious! The history and cultural experience along with the tastes were simply delightful. Well worth the money. I tried so many foods I would never have tried (or found) on my own. Our guide was super cool, too. He gave us many interesting facts about the dishes and Maui as well. I can only recommend this tour!!!

    Awesome tour
Me and my family visited our relatives in Maui and was looking for something fun for our group. This tour focused on the history of the area/restaurants, a sampling of some of the famous hawaiian dishes from each restaurant, and a nice drive through historical parts of Maui like Wailuku near the Iao Valley. Every restaurant had a variety of delicious foods to sample and some of the foods we’ve never tasted before. It was not only fun but also educational and entertaining. The tour ended in a local brewery with a sample of a locally brewed beer. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Our guide/driver for the tour, Darrin, was a local, born and raised on the island, who knew where the best non-tourist trap places are to get samples of the local food. He was punctual, high energy, friendly, told interesting stories. A couple of the stops were not even restaurants, but markets off the beaten path. We were served full meals to share for breakfast and lunch, and the subsequent stops we received tasting samples of lots of different foods. We have been to Maui three times now, and some of these foods we’d never encountered before. It is a great way to learn about island culture. And yes, bring an appetite – don’t eat breakfast before you go. The only thing that I didn’t appreciate was being told by the person who called to confirm us said if we weren’t at our pick-up location by the designated time we would be left behind. This made me very anxious, as it’s a lot of money and sometimes things happen that can’t be helped. And it turned out, causing us to worry about being a few minutes late was not necessary. Our guide was certainly accommodating and flexible; called us that morning to see how we were doing on arriving at the pick up location, and scheduled his pick-up of the other guests accordingly.

    Big Expectations But Disappointing
We had high hopes for this food tour of Maui. The best part was our host and driver, Darren. The food choices were all good but two of the stops we were eating in a parking lot in an industrial zone. Would have liked to have gotten a little history tour of Kahului. Last stop was Maui brewery and all we were allowed was a sampler sized glass of only two beer options. Seemed like a little nickel and dime.
